The final week of the quarter isn’t the time to review receivables.

It’s the time to collect what’s already committed. LET’S GO!!!

At this stage, your focus should shift from discovery to execution. The goal is simple: convert the receivables that are already close to payment into cash before the quarter closes.

Start with confirmed payments

  • Customers who promised payment this month

  • Invoices approved but not yet processed

  • Accounts that normally pay at month end

These are your highest probability collections.

Follow up with urgency

  • Confirm payment is still scheduled

  • Ask if it is included in the next payment run

  • Verify the exact payment date

A quick check-in often prevents payments from slipping into next month.

Remove final obstacles

  • Missing paperwork

  • Disputes waiting for clarification

  • Approval delays on the customer side

Small issues can delay large payments if they aren’t addressed quickly.

Focus on impact
Your largest invoices and closest payments deserve the most attention this week. March is about credit discipline and financial control. Strong quarter-end collections come from focused effort during the final days.
