Who We Are!

A little bit about my background and who I am today!

So I’ve been writing to many of you for years…YEARS! That’s very cool to me and some of you have been around since the beginning and still engage with me on here, which I appreciate!

I’m the founder of Guernsey Consulting LLC and a U.S. Army Veteran turned finance professional (wife said do a safer job after I left the service as a Scout). After years in corporate accounting and leadership roles, I saw too many businesses struggling with one thing — cash flow. That’s why I built Guernsey Consulting to help small and veteran-owned businesses make sense of their numbers, tighten their processes, and take control of their money.

I focus on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury Management, Bookkeeping, and Cash Flow Forecasting — the areas that determine whether a company thrives or fights to stay above water. Through my consulting work, my Cash Flow Chronicles newsletter, and The Profit Platoon community, I teach leaders how to manage money smarter, improve working capital, and run financially disciplined operations. I also still work full time as a Senior Treasury leader here in Indiana. The goal though is to take the consulting gig up into a spot where it’s driving the bulk of my revenue…so who do you know that would benefit from my work? On the personal side of things, this is my buddy RJ (left) and me from this past week. He’s someone I served with in the service the whole time in and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan with. I hadn’t seen him in 8 years and him/his family spent the week up here in Indiana with my family. It was great reconnecting with him!
